EVIDENCE 101...Wherever you go, there you are...

the line through a pair of infinitely close points on the curve or Cube of Soap

Yesterday an NYPD officer was killed in an unprovoked attack while in her marked vehicle. May Officer Miosotis Familia rest in peace.
Thank you for your service.

Although we will never understand these attacks, we do have huge emotion over them in the direction of anger, sadness, and shock.

I think they hit every American. It can be very unsettling to all when we have such a random and senseless act which reveals our sacred security is actually fragile and shattered in an instant by these horrid reminders.

They happen too often. I don't want to wake up to another.

It's also a tell tale sign we live in different times where humanity has a price and people think life is cheap. There are people who view some professions as sacrificial or less than others. There are those who believe, "Well, that's the risk cops take."

If I hear those type of statements, I get a little peeved. Idiot talk and ignorance. It isn't the fact people are ignorant that bothers me so much, it is the lack of seeking correct information or educating oneself. Just continue to live in your dumb world because you refuse to learn the answers or seek information or educate yourself.

Of course peace officers know the risks when they take the oath. Of course we do! It doesn't make them sacrificial lambs. Gah. We don't EXPECT to get ambushed or killed every duty. We EXPECT to go home to our families.

It doesn't make these barbaric acts OK either. Or even justifiable by mental illness or vendetta against police and/or poo-pooed or explainable.  Nor should we ever become numb to them! KRIMENY Ethyl, we should be rattled each time a soldier is killed or an officer is slain.

Raise your bubbles! Come out of your mommy's cellars and wake up!

We can all watch people walk around with vaginas on their head for women's issues, but no one gets rattled or aligns together to rally about our safety and security. It's expected.

Well, it's not that easy, folks.

BTW...the title is a riddle. Do you know what it is?

---Got NO clues to the riddle...sounds too much like those damn "word problems" in MATH class...that I ALWAYS hated.
It's a pretty effin sad commentary on society when LEOs get the crap end of the stick.
If it's not an outright ambush, it's being shot at from a window, or it's lawsuits out the ass, or community upheaval over a misunderstood (thanks to social media BS) arrest/police-action shooting, or just plain resisting...runs the gamut these days. NO call is "safe", it would seem, and not even sitting in your duty vehicle is "off limits" with some jerks out there.
---And yet, many departments don't help matters when they don't follow The Broken Window Theory (by stopping the small shit before it becomes the big shit). Too many calls are low priority and too common a nuisance to the community.
---Also, this whole NOT providing information to the public has to stop IF the police want the assistance of the citizenry.
I mean, how the hell can anyone HELP if they don't know shit to begin with (when information IS available)?

This is becoming a real large bag of angry cats.

Good post.
Lots to think about.

Roll safe down there, Kiddo.

Hey Momma Fargo;

As far as the title goes, I will roll with "Differential Geometry", I am going with memory here mind you. The problems that the PoPo are facing is a huge society backlash that is manufactured to support an agenda and the Big city cops in New York have no support form the administration, DeBlasio will throw them to the wolves in a new york minute as will Rahm in Chicago.
I am not sure how this will play out but this is an attack against the rule of law in this country and many people are so into their personal agenda that they don't see the damage that this will cause for future generations.

Perhaps "on the bubble"?

BTW- Your header says "from an older woman's perspective".

It should be "from a MATURE woman's perspective".

Haha, Bill. I am not mature. That would be a lie.

So far, no one has guessed the riddle.
