"While viewing your favorite police show on television, have you ever followed an episode in which the police advised a suspect of their rights?"

Actually, my favorite cop show was Jack Webb's "Dragnet," which was before the Miranda ruling. There were no Miranda rights so none were read. THey just sat the suspect down in a chair and shined a bright light in his (or sometimes, her) face.

Expatriate Owl...LOL. I loved Dragnet! The good old days of television.

Like your picture on that blog.

As a young man, had a county sheriff advise me NOT to seek a job in law enforcement. He believed anyone who was ejected from every high school football game was a personality unsuited for a lawman.

Maybe you want to put something like that in there.

WSF...the next two articles are already almost finished. I will work on one based upon your suggestion. Stand by.

Hey Momma Fargo,

My favorite shows were "Adam 12" and "Dragnet". One of my favorite authors for a long time was "Joseph Wambaugh" for his "choirboys, Blue Knight, the new Centurions, the onion field" and many others. I don't know if those books would still be relevant in modern policing.
